Akom 2, on the other hand, hosts one of the richest and purest iron ore deposits in the world, with an initial production capacity of 2 million tons of iron ore concentrate per year. Uphold Environmental Cleanliness to Safeguard a Vibrantly Green Earth
We have several large-scale projects in the pipeline that reflect our commitment to unlocking Cameroon’s vast mineral potential. These include the exploitation of gold in the Bani and Vaimba regions in Northern Cameroon, nickel and cobalt in Mpouop and Ntam in the Eastern region, as well as iron ore concentrate and gold in Dibango and Niep, located in the Central and Western regions. Each of these projects is designed to contribute significantly to the industrialization and sustainable development of the country. These licenses, held under BOCOM Petroleum, a subsidiary of Groupe BOCOM, are supported by extensive prospecting and reconnaissance activities, reaffirming the group’s commitment to sustainable exploration and resource development.
Bani (License No. 242): Unlocking Gold in Northern Cameroon
Located in the Northern region, the Bani project focuses on gold exploitation, showcasing its immense potential to drive local and national economic growth.
Ntam (License No. 268): Strategic Focus on Gold, Nickel, and Cobalt
Ntam is a multi-mineral project in Eastern Cameroon, combining the exploitation of gold, nickel, and cobalt to strengthen Cameroon’s position in critical mineral production.

The Vaimba project is dedicated to gold extraction, leveraging the richness of the region to contribute to the sustainable development of the mining sector.
Dibango (License No. 230): Iron Ore and Gold Potential in Central Cameroon
The Dibango project focuses on the production of iron ore concentrate and gold, contributing to the industrialization and diversification of Cameroon’s economy.
Mpouop (License No. 213): Rich Deposits of Gold, Nickel, and Cobalt
Situated in the Eastern region, Mpouop targets the exploration and extraction of gold, nickel, and cobalt, essential minerals for global markets and local industrial growth.
Niep (License No. 231): Premium Iron Ore Concentrate in Western Cameroon
Niep is dedicated to the extraction of high-quality iron ore concentrate, playing a pivotal role in the development of Cameroon’s mining industry and infrastructure.
